The online master’s in education administration program requires you to complete 12 courses for a total of 30 credit hours. The curriculum for the licensure track includes core courses, a research course and a practicum experience that can be completed at your current school. Deran Whitney, Associate Professor; Program Coordinator for Education Administration
Faculty Spotlight: Deran Whitney
Deran Whitney earned a B.A. from Christopher Newport College, an M.Ed. from Old Dominion University, and an Ed.D. from Virgina Tech. In addition to serving as an associate professor at Shenandoah, his career in education has included roles as school superintendent, deputy superintendent for curriculum and instruction, and coordinator of elementary instruction.
